G3 or HK CETME full auto bolt conversion

I would like to know how realistic it is to have a full auto bolt carrier converted to semi...
    who does it?
is it cost feasible or worth it?
    precautions?

Pretty much anyone with a mill can do it. its just a small channel milled into the bottom of of the bolt carrier.

you could do it ur self with a good file just cut the correct one if looking from the top, and from behind its the one on the right side. from the bottom rear its on the left side.

You could even use a dremmel with a cut off wheel.

What if the Carrier had been welded at that point that is normally milled out, do you feel the carrier may have been compromised?

As stated, it is a simple mod. If someone posted a pic of what the semi BC bottom and rear looks like, you'd see how easy it is to place the notch.

    I'll look!

The only difference between the select-fire bolt carrier and the semiautomatic-only carrier is that the semi-auto carrier has a small slot milled on the underside to prevent tripping the auto-sear-release lever.

Semi bolt with cut in rear!

Like said above, file or dremmel!

We have never needed any new laws to govern decent law abiding citizens!

Just to enforce the old laws on the NEW ARRIVALS!

So basically and functionally without the auto sear it wouldn't matter anyway...?

The slot in the bottom of the carrier is a defense mechanism against those who tried to do unlawful mods to a semi auto fcg and re-install the sear release lever. All three mods: FCG pin. fcg shelf, and bolt groove, are designed to work togther to prevent modifications back to FA.

what is the length on the carrier?? got a way to measure the tube with calipers or...?

i have a sear and could use the full auto carrier if the carrier hasnt been cut too short, i might be willing to trade you for a semi auto one in perfect condition depending on what yours looks like.

not interested in a reweld, only a factory unmodded carrier
