thats better than nothing if you included pics that would be even better. i just made a list w/serial numbers just a quick list. but yours has way more info and value just in case. good job. but it looks like you have alot of work to do with your collection.

i am needing to do this with my collection. i was going to make a table and have 4 digital pictures:left, right, serial number and receiver crest pictures. I am planning to get a bunch of those clear sleeves in a binder and put any paperwork i got with the gun- receipt, FFL etc in as well.

I figured this would be a good starting point before having an appraiser look them over from the insurance company

If you have a copy of Excel it's really easy to set up a template and insert pictures.

I had gunsafe and it was great, until something got corrupt and it took forever to load then it quit all together. I was pissed because that had all the dates I bought things.

I also have a word .doc that has a picture, how much I paid, where I got it, Name, cal, serial, and all accessories or if it was a build all the parts I used. It takes a while to load and its a huge file.

For quick reference I have an excel sheet that is separated by rifle/pistol/shotgun and has manufacturer, model, serial #, caliber, and action. I should add a value column I suppose...I dont want to add pics to the excel file because it would take way long to load.

I use excel on builds too. I have it set up for AK and AR builds with every part listed with a check box to label on hand, on order, or NA; and a price box that is calculated so you can see how much it will cost with different options.

I was bored at Armor School one weekend and have kept up on it since.

    SORRY Milsurp
I DID NOT SEE THAT THEY TUCK THE DOWNLOAD OFF OF THE PAGE

The Free trial is for WINZIP!

once you unzip the software and saved it to your computer you will no longer need the WINZIP application, winzip just compresses the files so the download will be faster!

    Hope the explanation helped!

I have Blue Book but it is not compatable with vista or 7 just XP. I no longer have XP. I contacted them and they said that their inventory service is now stored on their servers and you can access it on line for a yearly fee. Well that isn't going to happen, I'm not storing that information on someone else's server.
