    Current value Johnson Semi-automatic

Can anyone provide me with the actual prices the Johnson rifles are actually selling for currently?

I have been tasked with selling one for a friend. I have seen the asking prices in the 5-7K range. However I haven't been able to find any actual selling prices.

I need to bring my pal down to earth before I start trying to peddle his rifle for him.

This rifle is probably at least NRA VG with no sling or accessories. It is NOT of a serial range that could have been used by the Marines.

    Thanks much

that one is sporterized i believe - it at the very least has a sporterized buttpad on it instead of the checkered factory original

I see one at the OGCA show everytime I go. For the longest time a fellow had one on the table tagged $5000. Last show I saw one for sale by a different dealer for $6000. For all I know it's the same one.

I think I saw 3 at last Tulsa show, ranging from around $4500 to around $5500. One on Gunbroker just went off with highest bid of about $1800, did not make it to the reserve price.

My opinion, $3535 with the wrong butt pad was not too bad a deal.

I would like to have one, but 4 grand will buy a lot of other stuff I want.

PS for that money you could buy 4-5 Garands.
