    Ordered M1A NM

I just ordered a Springfield Armory M1A National Match from Gunbroker!

My brother has owned this same rifle for years, and I always wanted one after shooting his. It is a real tackdriver.

Man I can't wait! The M1A will make a good companion to my DSA FAL!

Too cool, someday I hope to join this club, never heard bad things about this rifle other than they are addictive.
    Can't wait to see it.

    You guys are super!

When my brother bought his, it cost about $800 wholesale from a friend with a FFL who was kind enough to order it for him. We thought it was a huge chunk of change at the time! (some years ago)

The M1A NM I ordered is costing $1850! But they aren't ever going to get any cheaper!

We like to take his M1A and get someone who has never fired one before, and set up a can of soda at 100 yds. Then after giving them some instructions, and getting them a good rest on the sandbags, we tell them to just set the can on top of the front sight and sqeeze the trigger. Bang, the can disappears! You should see the look on peoples faces! They have to try it again!

I will surely post some pictures when she arrives!

    Nice buy, man!

Another member here, Armor, his dad has an M1A supermatch that he bought from a pawn shop or something for 500 bux a while back. The guy who was selling it didn't know anything about it. When Armor's dad took it to Springfield in Geneceo, IL to have it checked, he asked what they could do to it to upgrade it. The guy said "This is the Super Match, there is no upgrade above...this is top of the line!"

    Whatta deal.

Man $500 bucks even for just a regular run of the mill springfield is a great price, much less a super match.

At the range I belonge to we have a military match every month. Iron sights only. I've got a 1903, and #4 Enfeild that I trade off shooting all the time. Anyway last Sept. or Oct. these two guys show up (turned out to be a father and son) with their M1A match rifles, and beat the pants off everybody with surplus ammo. We all had our reloads, and they stiil beat us.

I got a feeling your gonna love it. Good job!!!

It was a deal sure, but this took place decades ago...like in the late 70s early 80s. Armor can chime in if I'm not correct.

Oh ok. You said a while back. I was thinking you meant a year or so ago. Still a nice rifle though. I don't know what the prices were back then.
