    New locking piece

Threw a new locking piece in my g3 bolt group and to my surprise the bolt gap jumped quite a bit. my old LP was measuring below .010 the gauge was tight. New LP and the .015 fits but snug so i am guessing .014 since my cheap gauges jump from .013-0.15. when hkiller welded her up for me the gap was .017 and dropped to less than .010 with about 300 round through her. is this normal? or should i be concerned? all parts in the kit were matching numbers, 079 in the bolt head, lp, carrier, etc.

Sounds ok to me, it just settled in. If the new locking piece gave you .14 gap with 8mm o.e. rollers you should be fine for a lot more rounds down range before you have to adjust bolt gap again. I set all mine at .20 and let everything settle in and usually come up with .15-.17 bolt gap.
