Sorry, can't help there, but... there are videos and things out there on the internet re: how to rewire the transformer from a discarded microwave oven into a spot welder. I know you can handle the fabrication of the jaws...hope that helps a little bit.

I have the AK Builder spot welder with the correct tongs and everything and if you pay the shipping both ways I will loan it to you. I will have to get the shipping costs but it shouldn't be over 60 bucks both ways.

Yes im livin the dream to lol lol....it more like a nightmare...waking up thinking that there
are no more parts kits left .!
I did show my wife the first one i finished and said we need one in every room.
She said that would be fine..hehe...little does she know thats my exact plan.!
I did plug weld the lower rails on the first one from inside before i bent the flat
But it was a PITA to get it off the jig...the upside was a nicer finish..
The down side was geting the triger gard jig to work....more mods to it.

I got into this mess when I was in West Africa and the guards on the Barge had AKs to keep the pirates away. Holding these things inspired me, and a friend had been trying to talk me into building these things anyway. I bought two ROMY G kits from J&G while offshore and they showed up at the house before I got home. My wife opened them up to see what they were and got grease on her hands. When she figured out what they were she wasn't happy. But she got used to it. Now she doesn't ask any questions and rolls her eyes when a package arrives. I usually pay by money order or by super secret cash turned into gift cards.

Mick, I read your pm and don't worry about it getting messed up during shipping. That is what insurance is for. I just checked the usps postage caculator and it said 18.85 so with ins. that is like maybe 40 bucks or so round trip. Hkiller you can plug weld the rails but it is fugly and just more body work to do. I do not plan on using it for a while Mick so pm me your address and get your AK's built. Best I can do.
