    7.5x54 French Ammo

If anyone is looking for this cal. SOG has it as well as Century at good prices. Ammo I just received from SOG is headstamped TE(Toulouse)1959. SOG says not corrosive but I am going to check that out.

Century says this ammo is corrosive. Fired 20 rounds today thru my MAS36 and it was flawless. Cleaned the rifle accordingly and ordered another 1K rounds.

I have to add I love shooting that ugly MAS 36.. It's weird bolt angle works good, that short butt stock gives a good sight picture for quick shooting. My 1962 7.5 Syrian ammo's recoil is mild, but would rather have French ammo

I am impressed with the rifle. Recoil on the French ammo is light and the rifle is very accurate.

I use 6.5x55 Swedish brass and resize with my 7.5 MAS dies...then trim to size and shoot

    cheaper than surplus 7.5

XO What size bullet do you use when you do that and what brand of dies do you use?
I have plenty of extra 6.5 Swedish brass

The French must have finally remembered where they buried the ammo for the 1941 re-innvasion of France. That 59 head stamp was to fool the Jerrys.
