    Unhappy Chinese M53 Nagants

Several dealers recently are advertising these Chinese M53 rifles. SOG listed them as being good to very good. I received mine today. Stock - poor, bluing poor, bore shot out, no sling or cleaning rod with it.
I am returning the gun. This was best of 5. I have had good luck with the company, but I suspect this might be a pretty poor batch of rifles. Has anyone else got one from any online source?

Classic, AIM and SOG started advertising them almost on the same day for $149.00. They have not been around for a long time. I suspect they are all from the same source, so it won't make much
difference who you buy it from. It would be nice to hear from someone else on these to see what they got.

I have one that is a pos and some of the numbers don't match. It was only $75 though.
I may have to buy one from classicarms...

I am kind of thinking that this was a batch found burried in some warehouse in China or here and just recently found. Again, with AIM, Classic and SOG listing them almost the same day for the same price
I would guess they all got them from the same source. This may be the last of the last, bottom of the barrel stuff, or maybe I was unlucky and just got a bad one.

Called this a.m. Customer service said they are getting many complaints on these guns. They recommended I not ask for an replacement, as I had already got the best of 5 and wouldn't get anything better.
Will reinburse if I return gun, but not the cost of shipping it back. Unless someone reports they actually got a decent one, I would not recommend buying any of these M53 currently being sold from any on-line
    dealer.

Most of them are going to be in pretty "used" shape. Mine from a few years back was well worn. Shot good though... probably the roughest out of my nagants.... but it rounds out the collection.

well, maybe they'll drop the price in half now and I might pick one up.

The one's from Classic are rough to look at, but mine had a nice bore. You can tell these have seen some action. I was kinda disappointed and sold it. I'l just stick with my M-44 for now.
