    They call him the grasshoper

Some days ago the British and the French army's snipers had a contest in Northumberland. Guess who won.

Great photo, I assume it is was the French.
    Was it?

Does the French Army still use the MAS 36 as a sniper rifle platform in 2012?
We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union

either that of one of the British Snipers just lobbed a 40 gram bar dart in his butt...

I have to say though - he's got great vertical leap considering all the equipment he's wearing.

I zoomed out to 400%; the rifle on the left sure looks like it is a MAS 36 receiver.
Integrity is doing what you say you are going to do...

You got to give them credit none of the other major powers are using the M 98, 1903, SMLE or M 91 as a sniper rifle platform for regular troops in 2012. They still have their highly modifed Pre-WW 2 bolt action in normal service.
I told you it was a good rifle, although very ugly.
You would think the Frenchman would demand a good looking rifle

    Now that is funny....

I don't think its all that ugly though... I mean just look at this bolt:
    mas36.jpeg
That curve is sexy as it gets

Now the leather that came with it was ugly as it gets.... Never figured out the appeal of that light color patent leather, hard to maintain and just plain goofy looking.... Leather needs to be dyed black or waxed and left au naturel....

Well...even though we are still a little peeved at them for the 1066 incident.!
It appears that the french have taught us somthing.
Apparently...droping your rifle and runing away from it...makes it more accurate.!
If its to bright....call ELLIOT LUCAS.!
