As an aspiring collector I am not sure which is more depressing, Patria Povpo's Semi-Automatics add or hansellhd's collection.

When I was a Kid I felt the same way, I used to see these great collections and shake my head wondering how these people did it and being a person who came from modest means it seemed all that much harder to do. I started out with a .22 target pistol and a Swiss Army Knife back in the early 70's.

Here's what it takes: Hard work, perseverance, study, some luck and most of all Time. I started when I was 16 years old I'm 59 now so when I put up pictures of my collection remember It did not happen over night. Don't be Discouraged by others Collections be Inspired by them, that's what I did.

Good luck to you and by all means enjoy the hobby, it's a fun and rewarding one to have.
