barrel pin press ??

How are you guys holding your reciever / barrel in your presses .Tried air hammer and bfh , pin wont budge , my press is next , just have to figure out how to hold it! Thanks

My last demill was the only one I had trouble with and it was an HK33. I ended up going with a modified punch held in an air chisel and let the air do the work. Once the pin got moving it came out easily.

I've seen photos of a jig a fellow made that bolted to a plate under the press ram. The jig had a barrel clamp that kept the receiver aligned with the ram so he could press the pin out.

I don't have any tools to speak of so I drilled a hole in mine, undersized of course. Stuck a punch in that hole and smacked it right out.

was gonna suggest him also, there are a cple of guys over akfiles.com that offer just the ram and interchangable pins should you not want the entire setup.
