    It "ain't" a Chinese SKS!

Traded a rifle that had some hidden damage back in at my gunshop. Decided to do a gun for gun swap. Owner was leaving so we quickly looked over what he had
in the same price range and I grabbed a nice looking "Chinese" SKS. Not any markings on it, but figured if it was labeled Chinese it was probably Norinco. Got the SKS
home and started cleaning it and looking it over more closely. I found hidden under the cleaning rod it was inscribed CAI ---, CUGIR, ROMANIAN. Did a search and sure
enough Cugir Arsonal in Romania made their SKS. Also their logo was a triangle with an arrow in it. Yep, that was on the side of the receiver. Anyway, I was happy, I
already had a Norinco, but didn't have a Romanian SKS and now I have a nice one. Oh, it is dated 1960.

Nice trade Buckshot. Some say the Romanian is second only to the Russian.

Yes, it looked like that, the thing was super clean, very shiney bore with good rifling. All I did was oil it up. I traded a Swiss Ruben back in on it. The Ruben was going to need a part, so I got a good price on it.
The problem came when I found actual damage to the Ruben that would be very hard to fix. I got the Romanian for a good price, it would have been marked higher if the owner knew it was a Romanian. He is a friend and
and I told him what happen.
