Nothing wrong with letting the Great Spirit be your guide, but don't be afraid to look for alternate routes to get where you are going. Take some time each week and find a place to meditate and try not to get you mind muddled with the unimportant.

Think about the world around you in simple terms like , "Here I am and there I can see".

Try not to make simple things into complicated thoughts. Think, "It works because..."

The people there were here before us back to the beginning of time had simple lives and simple ways....and look what happened to those ideas ...they eventually grew into bigger things.

I hope you find your inner peace...but never stop looking...plan for tomorrow but live today..

And as my motto says, "Listen With Your Eyes"....

The best book in the Bible that you can read, when you feel like your downtrodden, is The Book of Job. Put's things into perspective, and may be just the insight that your looking for. For the longest time, I thought I needed to look for myself as well, and then discovered that, I knew exactly where I was. Right where I was standing! Good luck, and God bless...

Be assured you will find what you are looking for. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst for righteousness, FOR THEY SHALL BE FILLED"...
    "Seek and ye shall find."
"Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you."
It starts with prayer. CONSTANT prayer. We are taught to pray "without ceasing..." That means every chance we get. You want to find closeness to God, you have to spend time with him.

It looks like we all have something of the same experience. To some it comes soon but must be maintained. To others the serch takes longer. Don't give up. I would like to recommend Jesus the Christ by Talmage. Pretty heavy duty, but it might help with some of your questions. My prayers are with you.

There is no right path to follow except one true to your own heart and the beliefs it holds dear. Praying may ease some of your burden but the rest is up to you. See where these new paths lead. If your moral compass has shifted to a direction that you are unwilling to follow and sacrifice your soul for then change directions. Second chances aren't always offered and regrets in ones life are almost always certain but you need to live your life and the choice of which path you take is always yours.

    HOLD FAST!

Hang in there man. If I can survive a divorce from my life-mate, raise my daughter by meself since 2006, plus a horrible job mkt in the tech industry since 2001, I know you can hang in there, too.

    My maxim is this:

The strong must be tested from time to time, and so they are.

Also, my study of history (and military history) is that winning and losing are often right down to the wire on the big issues. Also, I noted that the real key to winning is not to focus on winning - focus on not losing, not quitting. It is how the Soviets won in Stalingrad, or the Finns in the winter war.

    Don't quit!

Don't know what denomination you belong to but when I was at my lowest point I found joining my church's prayer group helped a lot. Unconditional acceptance and support from people who cared and a different perspective on your problems and on what you were reading. Just dos centavos from an old dinosaur but devouring the bible in huge chunks doesn't give you time for reflection, smaller pieces of it at one time and time to think about what you read helped me more than marathon reading sessions. Psalms helped a lot too. I could always count on something there to be uplifting.

I've met you personally at the Florida Shoots, and I know you're an intelligent person. I'm sure you'll ask all the right questions before deciding which fork in the road to take at each particular crossroads.

Appreciate the prayers and well wishes and advice everyone. Still not doing well, but I function for work and such. Just missing parts of my life. Sorry I have not responded much. Still trying to handle it all.
