    cannelure tool

I picked up some 158gr fmjrn 38/357 bullets...but they didnt have the crimp groove.
so i found this dandy tool online and it arrived today.
Now i can put a cannelure any place i need it.

Looks like a nice addition to the loading bench.

Not trying to be a smartass or anything but isn't "cannelure" just the shape of the bullet? Or have I been using it wrong. I always thought it was the shape of how quickly or slowly it narrows towards the tip. I thought what you are talking about is just the crimp ring.

On the subject of your 175 gr. 308's without the cannelure. If you use a factory crimp die to finish the rounds you don't need a cannelure on the bullet. The die sort of makes it's own.
