Added an SVT40 to the 54r collection

Just arrived yesterday, doesn't seem to have been loaded since it was re-arsenaled.

Not a one. This is the one listed on the guild as having no import marks. Has the import stamp clearly on the side of the receiver. Luckily I got it for less than he was asking but I still overpaid. At least now I won't feel bad about wearing it out.

It looks very nice. Have you looked at the bore? Has it been counter bored ? Just wondering.

I looked down the bore just to make sure I got all the packing foam out but didn't check it out thoroughly yet.

    Those are very nice.
    Yours looks great.
I have had a few over the years.
I have sold a dozen or so on this site over the years.
    Shooting them is fun.
Cleaning them at first not so much.
But when you get the hang of it, it is easy to do.
I always cleaned mine as soon as I could.

    Enjoy it.

I'd like to find a manual for it in English. I have a PDF of the Russian one, some good drawings with a lot of gibberish in between.

Great looking SVT. One of my favorite milsurps. Those tiny CDI import markings are a bit hard to see and yours is not the first one I've seen that was advertised as having no markings. LOL. I remember one with the marking faintly showing in one of the pics the advertiser had posted, but that's just the way things sometimes get captured in a pic that don't easily get spotted by the naked eye.

Don't worry about paying too much--one of the great things about milsurps is they seem to gradually keep increasing in value.
Time for the book "The Decline and Fall of the United States of America?"
