I like it a lot. It is good to see the worth in something and give it a new perspective and worth. Good to see projects of resurrection.

Great looking shotgun, love the transformation from civilian to military/LE style.
What did you use to refinish the stocks?

Tks, 220 grit paper, a combo of walnut and cherry stain, and BLO.
    I love you guys...

Thanks for the motivation, I have the same model I received from my mother when My grandfather passed and it is in about the same shape with the same buttpad as your before pic. I have already shortened the barrel ( its my bedroom closet gun) so I think I will redo the wood first.

Cool, I took it out the other day and ran a box of shells though it, it worked great, you can really go through 5 shots quick without the disconnector.
    I love you guys...

Nice work, i picked up a western field mod 30 last year, 16 ga. bore wasn't bad, thought about cutting it down and making a pack gun out of it. got it home and cleaned it and man, the bore was mirror bright, needless to say after it was cleaned up it stayed all original. I took it and shot it and now it's my favorite shotgun, smooth and fast, rings like an anvil when she locks up.

Yeah a shotgun like that made today would cost a couple of thousand dollars.
    I love you guys...
