PSL Muzzle Brake Removal

Hello Everyone

First time here, Question I have is this. I have built a few AKs from kits, all fine. Starting PSL build from kit. Does anyone know the best way to remove the Pressed on Muzzle Brake from stub. The barrel was cut just down from the bay lug, and the muzzle is pressed against the front sight. Any suggestions?

My barrel was not cut. Make sure that the muzzle brake is not screwed on, some were.
find a pipe vise to secure the barrel, you will have to remove the sight and the muzzle brake at the same time if both are pressed on. Mine were pressed on.

This is how I did mine.
I removed the front sight and muzzle brake at the same time, drove it off with a BFH and an Oak block of wood.
Removed the old bayonet lug.
I reinstalled the front sight where the bayonet lug was.
Threaded the barrel with a die, I used a U.S. made G3 flash hider on it.
That was just on the front.
I installed a U.S. made AK stock on the back.
I plan on installing a Tabuk stock later.
Modified pistol grip. I think it is a GALIL pistol grip, U.S. made.

The third and fourth picture PSL has a copy of the SVD stock set on it.

The first picture is a Tabuk that Ken Kubin built for me.
I need to install the butt pad on it.
This is to show what the stock set looks like.
