MP 40 in post war service

I always found photos of the MP 40 on duty after 1945 interesting
Here are some from South Vietnam 1963/1966

We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union

I had my hands on an MP-40 in 1968 Bien Hoa Army Base. No magazine so I couldn't fire it.

In Austrian service early 1960's. Are they are standing next to a M 24 Chaffee? Or M 47 Patton?

Love the old pictures - it is always interesting how these types of firearms show up in so many areas of the world.

Finally found a good clear photo of the CH 37 picking up the CH 21
From August 1963, you can clearly see the individual on the left has a MP 40
