    Nice collection Buck - but...you're missing a couple (as I am). I don't have a P-38; I do have a P-1; and I also have a P-4 and a P-5. Missing is a P-38 Short Barrel; which is more like a snub nose; even shorter then the P-4!

    P-1 top, P-4 bottom

size difference between the P-1 and P-4 barrels

I bought a couple P1s when they first hit the market, gave one to my Nephew as a belated graduation gift, keep the other one. back then the German released them for sale, but they gave 10,000 pistol to the Afghan national police

every pistol came package with a holster, cleaning kit, Target and a safety warning in German, and 2 magazine like this

The only one I have is built out of a P1 parts kit that was missing the frame and front sight for something like $50. I found a frame on GB , snagged a front sight from RTG (IIRC), and got the grips form fleabay. All in all I think I have around $150 in it. Great learning assembling this one, and it's a heckuva shooter.

Let's remember, this is a family type forum.

I only have one..a 1942 Walther. I do load some "light load" 9mm as I heard some slides can "crack" if ammo too hot.
Last time I took it out to the range the firing pin cover flew off and I lost the rear sight and a spring. ( I guess cover was not properly locked in ). Numerich had the parts.
The design of the P38 reminds me a little of my Beretta 92FS
