Just bought my first M1 Carbine!

Got it off of Gunbroker. It had been listed and re-listed several times and didn't sell for the asking price. I talked to the owner and we agreed on a lower price. I am really excited about this. Been wanting one for awhile now. It should be shipping out tomorrow. Hopefully be getting it early next week. Can't wait!

Edit: Also my first 03 C&R FFL purchase.

It's an IBM Jan/Feb 44 serial number. !944 Underwood barrel. It does not have the correct upper handguard, been replaced with the ventilated steel one. Maybe I can find the correct one somewhere.

Here are some pics of it from Gunbroker. The only pics I have of it until I get it. I will post many pics when it arrives.

Congrats on getting the carbine. Love the little rifles, pleasure to shoot. If me, the metal hand guard would soon be gone. You should be able to
find a wood replacement without much hassle.

Thanks. Been wanting one for a very long time now. Saw "To Hell and Back" when I was a kid and told myself I would own one someday. 40 years later, I do.

    Looking for a handguard now.

Again, just look around - I have seen them online, at gun shows and at my dealer misc table. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Search.h...OCKS+-+CARBINE

Everyone should have at least one. Good job on finding that one. I hope it serves you well.

he read my mind... love these little guns & once you start shooting it you'll have more than 1! (we have a herd of them now) great shooters for women & very recoil friendly.
