in your part of the country ... maybe it wont.

here in the east/central? the ground moves so much season to season that almost every pad cracks.

like you, i had at least 6-8" of crusher run that had been down for 4 years before we moved in & then we compacted on top of that... PLUS i went with the extra strong mix with fiber & the whole rig a ma row.... it should have worked out to be good for 6,000 psi mix & the slump cone was perfect.

so i dont know if it was crappy concrete coupled with getting a crappy job... or if it was a combination of a crappy job with my luck ran out.

any way it went: ended up with a bad job, bad floor & a very unhappy wife who wanted my floor to be good enough to put tile on.

YOU look like your getting a fine job on YOURS!
say what you mean & mean what you say!
    TEC Tactical=SOT/07 i work there.

Did not expect them out until middle of next week, but part of his crew came by and got it started. Rain/lightening drove them off -

That is going to be an awesome shop. It looks like it will go up quick. I would love to be able to have something like this.

Lightning would just weld that steel together and make it stronger. What kind of lightning rod will protect the powder room? Rifle shape, pistol shape, band aide?

More seriously, how deep do lightning rods go in places where it rain, like yours. Rain here means some ones sprinkler broke.

Nevada I have never seen anyone put in a lightening rod. I remember a few of the old houses/barns when I was a kid had them. Numerous metal building/chicken houses
all over the country side, I have had them for years, including 2 (40'X400') metal chicken houses and a large metal building and never seen them hit by lightening. I have seen straight
line winds/tornado, and heavy wet snow cause damage (not to me though).

A couple of his guys were out for e few hours today, even though it was wet/drizzling they did get some work done. Hopefully it will clear up and full crew will be here tomorrow.
We are anticipating having them deliver the 3 containers Friday or Monday. Again the end is left open as we want to off load them directly on the pad and the work them into position.
