Scott I misread the price I wrote down - they are $2,300 - as I am buying 3 they dropped price to $2,100.00 ea. Not a heck of lot more than a gun safe and
at 160 square feet each a heck of a lot bigger. 3 will give me 480 total square feet of enhanced security to store things. With all bolted down to concrete I
could used the one sandwiched between the other two as a storm shelter.

If you are not worried about cosmetics, etc, you can get them cheaper than that. As I mentioned the ones I am getting are one time use containers and grade "A".
As they will be permanently inside and part of the decor of the building (that I will be using a lot) I wanted them to look good. BTW that is a delivered price.

    BS,

round where i live... 20's are running $1995 delivered... but im sure they arent 1 time use boxes.

your last post of using 3 20's side by side is actually much better than using 40's for inside a building. 40's are great out on their own.. but if you build a 25'x50' building? you want 3 20's next to each other.

thats a really nice set up & easy to arrange however you want. vault in the middle... storage on either side... or flip it all. still leaves you plenty of building to use for shop & so on.

    nice plan.

Went over my requirements and locked down the price on a 30X40 metal building meeting my requirements, double walled, insulation package, so on. Paperwork
drawn up for delivery last week in Feb. Heard for the 4th time that the guy (builder) I have is very good, so feeling good on him. So right now I have
the builder, building kit, and sea/land containers locked in. Starting construction end of Feb. Still have to work on what I want for wiring, heat/air, etc.
Going to try and put in wood stove, backed up by propane heater. Will likely just dehumidify the storage containers, not the whole structure. Costs
    quickly escalate.

That's awesome. Are you going to have the slab poured before then or wait until the end of Feb?

The builder is handling the slab and putting up the building, so it will all get started then. He has plans at what stage he wants to move the 3 steel sea/land containers in. Let
him handle that -that is what he is getting paid for (LOL).

    BS,

since your going to this kind of set up/work....... make him sign a non disclosure agreement on the construction (that your putting those boxes inside)....

it wont do you a bit of good to have that set up if he would flap his gums at the local watering hole about the set up.... then all that hard work is for nothing when someone catches you gone & shows up with a rescue saw... they would still be into those boxes in just a few minutes tops.

thats how we cut them open in a hurry..
