tendon repair: cadaver or your own?

this is NOT a quick heal injury bud. no use to lie to you & tell you it is... its not. even though i was a young man this was a 9 month injury for me. that was an MCL tear.

is that what you tore? if its an ACL it could be even longer.

    follow the rest/rehab to a T!!

Sorry to hear the extent of the surgery was so involved. It sounds like something a friend of mine had done at the first of the year. He was off his feet for a month like you were told and after that time it was a few weeks of rehab. He is doing fine now and I am sure you will be soon. It most likely will be a PITA for a busy guy like you but do your best to follow the doctors orders, so to speak. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

    Update:

One frustrated camper here and 3 more weeks before Dr decides if I can actually put some weight on left knee/leg. I have found crutches are the "Devil's Spawn"
and had to go to a wheel chair for most of my moving around. I locked the building the night before I left for surgery and have not been to it since. I regret
it is not done (finished out),or I would likely be staying in it right now as it would be easier to get around. On th plus side my brother is coming Thur or Friday
this week to finish the last of the outlets, install the outside light and anchor containers down, so at least something will get done.

hate to hear it on the leg & know its frustrating....

so with no weight on it have they gave you that first bend episode yet? the one that feels like they are breaking it in half.....

GOOD NEWS: the building will still be there when you can roll out there!

I am very sorry about your leg. Just hang in there and follow the doctors orders even though they are frustrating. Hopefully you will be able to start physical therapy before to long.

Thanks, not the end of the world, just frustrating (LOL). Brother is working on building right now. Has outside entrance light installed and now installing
the last 5 plugins. So some progress is still being made.

Have made some more progress. Wiring is done, and Friday my brother dug out the sewer line for the toilet to connect into the septic tank. From the size of some of the rocks he
dug out it was no easy task. Next step is picking up the line and toilet at Lowe's and putting them in. My brother has a double basin stainless steel sink in a dairy barn he no longer
uses he said I could have for the building. BTW I am hopefully starting my last week of being immobilized and looking forward to getting back on my feet!!

    well thats good news!

didnt know if you were gonna move to a "rascal" or one of those knee board things... or if you are headed to the crutches for a while.
