WW2 BREN MK1 303 is more collectible than the MK2,

In the last year kits have almost doubled in price, It depends on how it was demilled (lower receiver cuts)
The early cuts are the best. the last batch were heavy torched and only some parts are usable.

It looks like most of the parts are there in that kit and maybe a few spare lower receiver parts.

it would not surprise me that this kit will sell for $1500 to $2000+.
Anything under $1200 would be a great buy, Under $1500 would be a good buy.

Kits of all types are now rising in price quickly, For the most part if you think your going to want one buy it.

All my kits I have left are MK2's ( I don't have any plans at this time to sell them at this time.)

    IMHO

Thanks Ron, it is the original chrome line barrel said to be in good condition. Yes, there are some spare receiver parts too. I am not sure if I can post a link to that auction under the rules?

For my collecting purposes I will have the B.A.R, DP28 is on the way and now want the Bren. They seem to represent the most popular light machine guns used in WW2. I know nothing
about the Bren, or the value of a kit like this, to include what it would take to make it an operational gun?

    write up on kit --

This auction is for the British WW2 BREN MK1 complete parts set shown in the photos. It has been demilled to BATFE specs bey torch cutting. It also includes a separate front receiver piece that has not been cut
for repair as a semi auto or dealer sample. The kit is nice and clean and includes a good barrel with a nice bore. This would be a pretty straight forward project since none of the vital areas like the locking block and
mag catch are undamaged. No FFL license required since this is not a gun. Ships to your door. Shiopping is $35 and I accept checks and money orders. Thanks for looking and check out my other auctions.

I am sure the price will get up to around what Ron was saying before it is over (LOL). I am thinking about it, but need to know more before doing anything.

The one front piece is cut through the gast be which is tough to clean up the inside after its welded. The spare nosepiece is only cut in the rear so that addresses the problem. However the rear cuts aren't in the same place so you'd have to cut part off one nosepiece, weld it to the good nosepiece, then weld to the receiver. No big deal, just 1 extra weld.

You're shooting for the same thing I did. BAR, DP28, Bren. I also went for the belt feds but sold the vickers and maxim, which I miss, but for what they brought in money wise, it funded my wife finishing her higher education.
