Back from the range and all I can say is WOW!! I usually take 20 rounds with me to shoot through the Mosin, usually only make it through 10 or maybe 15 rounds before I put it away. Today I shot 80 rounds and stopped only because I ran out of ammo! No real kick at all, more of a hard push. I am now a firm believer in these buttpads. Next time I go to Walmart I am goin to buy every size they have.

Everybody should try one out if they have not already. You will be pleased. Very well spent $20 IMHO.

Put the same pad on my new 8mm Mauser this morning at the range. Hard push instead of a painful sharp kick. Love it!

I have that one in that size, and a couple other styles in medium and large, that I keep in the range bag. They work good on the carbine length bolt guns. On my M38 & M44s I've been using the commercial type made to replace the metal ones. They're good too, but not as soft. PAX
