    "Dissipator" AR build

I was not going to buy any more uppers. But I ordered another one today. OH Well!
This will be another 605 build. I think I have 2 already.
The balance is great on them and I like the longer sight radius of a rifle over the carbine.

"Once upon a time, a "dissipator" AR was created by taking a 20" rifle-length gas system upper and cutting the barrel down to 16".
This allowed the shooter to keep the long sight radius of a rifle for accuracy, but keep the carbine length barrel for maneuverability."

I guess I need to dig out some more parts for the build. I have what I need for it.
I may order a lower from NODAK later for it. The wait list is long for the now.

I borrowed a picture from "BLACK RIFLE", This is what it looks like.

I'm a big fan. I had gathered the parts to build another but got an offer I couldn't refuse. The shorter length is great for hiking up here in the sticks, and I much prefer the long sight radius.

Cool. I really like the Dissipator's. I built mine with Magpul furniture but thinking about switching it over to A1.

Interested to see what you put together. Some years ago when Spike receivers and parts were on sale I put this together.

Thank you. I really like it. It has a beefy look to it. I get lots of questions at the range about it from the younger guys. I think I am going to put A1 furniture on it to see what it looks like. I have a couple of sets of tri-angle handguards. I need to get an A1 stock and grip. Better get to looking.

Edit: Oh, and a 3 prong flash hider to complete the look.

Lol. Do you have a Dissipator yet? If you don't, I think you need to build one.

Delton has their disssipator barrel in stock with free shipping right now for $154. It's the barrel I used and not always in stock.
