It only weighs 19.6 lbs (mags loaded, canteen full, blanket stuffed in bag to fill it out for the photo).

19.6 lbs with just a small blanket stuffed in the backpack. I'm sure with real stuff it would pass 20 lbs.

I am scratching my head wondering what practical purpose it has, but not everything we do is practical (LOL).

so true. after 20 years of humping equipment on my shoulders and back. I sure wouldn't pay to get something like that to hump even 1 lb.

I know a whole lot of vets, like me, up here and not one of us buys or wears any tactical stuff or BDUs. if we do have military stuff/uniforms, it's because we brought it home after serving and it's in either in the basement or attic. we certainly don't wear it and use it. I believe I might have a set of LBE in the basement, and that's where it will stay, in the basement.

all those "tactical websites stores" are all geared to people that that was never in the military. guess they want to look "tacticool' like they see real soldiers on the cable news wearing
