    FAL questions

Where these Century FAL's hit and miss in function like the cetme? I bought a century cetme quite awhile back and it's been reliable for me. I haven't seen one of these in quite ages and was wondering how the quality was. Does the price sound fair also? Thanks for any input?

Any way to shoot it? Price seems average if you could get it for 700-750 I'd say jump on it.

When Century started building the FALs they were using forged Imbel imported receivers. They later started using some cast receivers of their own manufacture. This is where the quality started going bad. there were magazine fitting issues and also some bad feed ramp geometry. This rifle id from the later run. 800 seems too much for me. I would expect in the 650-750 range. It also seems to have a mixed bag of parts, Izzy hand guards and Dutch rear sight. Some like these changes, but you may not...

Not really good for anything, but fun to push down the stairs.

Thank you for the information, I remembered they had issues but was uncertain as to what they exactly where.

I would pass. Price is too high, and there's a good chance this frankenfal was built on one of the Hesse receivers Century dumped cheap some years back.

    Bob,

    FYI

I just bought one of these last year new. At lease you get factory warranty. I have had no issues with mine after break-in.
