    Cannelure bullet and LC brass for CETME or no cannelure ?

    Looking for some input , I'm going to reload some lake city
    7.62 , it has been cleaned deprimed and swaged , so just need
    to trim / chamfer , will be using Hornady custom grade new
    dimension dies , should I use a bullet with a cannelure or one
    without , never reloaded for a Cetme , suggestions ?

    I've heard semi-autos should use a cannelure and a crimp. However those who reload 30-06 say no crimp is necessary, and the military 7.62 I have has a cennelure but no crimp. I guess if you can't push the bullet into the case against the work bench it's OK. That's what I did with my 30-06 reloads for the garand.

    Sometimes I use them and other times not. It just depends on which I have or order. I've never had issues when using the have not though.

    I do not crimp for my 91 most the fmj I load for it has a cannelure but I tend to not crimp it. make sure you have proper neck tension and it should be a non issue

    I load SMK's in mine, not an issue.
