New copy of early prototype AR build.

I am going to attempt to gather parts to build a copy of early prototype AR.
It will not be an easy project to do and the cost will be a lot.
I have looked at this model for several years and when "Braceman" over on the AR site posted his I figured it is time.
It took him a few years to build it.

I have started digging for parts to modify and the rest will have to be made or if I can find them made buy them.
This project may take a while to do.

    Bracemans's picture of his............beautiful rifle.

That's nice! Looking forward to watching this project.

Edit: Nodak Spud has some early prototype stuff like handguards.

I was able to find someone with a spare front sight base ( they are special made) and the "L" marked rear sight wheel and I just got back from the post office to mail a money order to them.

No problem. They also have those top charging handle uppers and lowers, very cool. Iv'e thought about building a unique AR using those.

Awesome! Getting a start already. That front sight base is definitely different, squished up a bit.

Yea! that is what I was going to build when I got the hand guards.
It is still on my list of "To Build Someday" (TBS)
Way to many types of AR models to build.

What are you going to do about the stock and grip? Re-finish early A1 stuff to match the color?
