    Another crazy auction at Classic!

This time a Finnish M39. It's sitting at $1,370.00 with almost 3 days left. There are several of them on GB in the $350-$550 range. I'm at a loss.

I don't try to figure out, nor really care, why some firearms go to the crazy price level. that's a good way to bust a blood vessel in your brain and end up in a wheelchair pooping in a diaper and slobbering on your chest LOL

Makes no sense, but they have a gold mine in these auctions and we will keep seeing things like this.

There are a few Finnish M39 models that will bring a lot more money.
Finnish M39 are collector guns and those that collect them are usually willing to pay more. How much more, who knows.
The Finnish M39 is not a Russian Mosin Nagant Rifle.
( there are a few M-N Russian rifles that would go for over $1000.)

Most people don't know the difference between a $100 rifle or a $1000 rifle and would not pay that much for them.

It is the same with a lot of other guns.
Some of the AK's are going for $3000 to $4000+ ( I have a few of them)

To a collector it sometimes doesn't matter the cost.

It is the same with some gun parts. To some it is a $50 part to someone that knows how rare it is would pay $900 to $1000 for it.
Early m16 hand guards fit this description.
Really nice $200 1919A4 kits now over $1000 if you can find one.
Really nice 3 band saw cut Bren kits for less than $100, now over $1000

Then there are those of us that can remember when an SKS, Mosin Nagants, German Mausers, etc all sold for well under $50.
I can remember when they got to $100 and all the complaining that went on the net and at gun shows.
No way was any one going to pay that much.
Well, They did and now pay a lot more.
The market will go where it goes, some will not go there but others will.
You have to pay to play.
I remember those days of really cheap surplus, but those days are long gone and I doubt they will ever return.

    It is what it is.................
