The makers mark is ommited by end of Nazi wartime. That way no allied bombardment to milling factory that made it. There are multiple logo design changes per maker that can be used for easy date of manufacture reference.

Figured this would fit with thread. Little different for me - a WW2 German Army sword with Nazi Eagle & Swastika. Thinking I can use it
with some German weapons for display. Just got it this morning.
