Speaking of the Ish, you are usually up on stock cartouches. It has an "S up arrow A" stamped on the left side of the butt. Any ideas?
So took the Enfields out for another run this morning. Started with the Ish. The pop can loads shot better today. Then I found some test loads with the 210g FP boolits made for 300 BO subsonics. Those over 5g of AA #5 were surely subsonic. Pulled out the earplugs and the sounded like sv .22's.

The Savage also shot better than last time. The pop can loads hung together better. Then I finished up the 170g FP, GC, 45/45/10 boolit test. Left the sight at 550, shot the Shooters World Buffalo Rifle load first, then the two 2400 loads. They kept going higher so I'd say the 2400 pushes them a little faster. Weather was awsome. 65 deg, little wind, and mostly cloudy. Perfect, lol!

The "S up arrow A" is a South Australia marking if I remember correctly. Lol! Mine has it too.
Edit: I may be wrong on this. The people over at the Enfield forums are on disagreement about what it might be.
Edit 2: So, turns out it is India's Government/Military Small Arms marking used after their independence from Brittan in 1947. Learn something new every day. Lol
