Hey Joe. Glad to hear your getting some riding in. I've been doing a bunch, and got an all day ride going tomorrow. Tenderloin run. Ride to eat, eat to ride lol! Is your GL a dresser with all the bags? How's the Norton doing? I've already got more miles in than I did the last 2 years since I'm out of room for another bike build and the range has been closed more than open this year.

I do my best at it! Lol!

That Chicom Type 54 looks to be in good shape. Also, not a common one at this point in time. Nice!

Nah, just the Windjammer IV with lowers.... Lost my stereo somewhere...? Who cares though? Have to draw the line somewhere since I don't wander all over the place. Norton needs some carby work, but think it'll just get new ones. That work shall have to await lower temps seeing as how I almost went down twice this past week in the heat trying to work on it.... Been thinking about bags though. GL 200mi. no sweat. Norton 50mi. 2 days resting.
Still not shooting because of the tremors..... Can't trust my fingers not to twitch anymore... Sent a bunch of toys off with my eldest a couple of months ago so he and the grandson can play with them, but my bike are mine.

The range is open so got some shooting in. Got a couple more ideas for the Mosin and Enfield so unloaded all the light loads to make brass available. Then went over to the pistol line to compare/contrast the wz48 and Type 54 Toks. Didn't get far. Started with the new 54 with my reloads. It doubled the last 2. Hmmm. Put 4 of the smoking Czech surp in next, and it doubled 1-2 and 3-4. Damn! I just emailed CF telling them what happened and I need another one. I'll let you know how their customer service works.

Might need a Wolff spring kit put in it if CF can't help you out.

Jury's still out on their cs, but it started off tops. Had an email with a return label an hour later.

The gun shows are finally going around here and it was a 9mm day. Swapped the crappy Taurus for a Star BM. Then, I saw a dusty 8lb jug of AA #5. Seal was still intact. How much? $50. How about $40? Take $45. OK. Gotta love the gun show and flea markets. Last bastion of haggling lol! Powder smelled OK. My fave 9mm fuel bitd. It will last until I'm fertilizer, or if it's crap it will fertilize the grapes and I better have a bumper crop next year lol!

You stole the powder if it was stored properly.... It'll shoot anyway for range fodder. I fed my cetme's loads of H414 because I got a hell of a deal on several #s. Was really smoky but shot fine... Had to run the brush through to clean the flutes every 50-60 rounds though or they got a little sluggish from the sludge..... I liked the smoke part a bunch and so did a few others.

Yep, tried it out this morning. This shot of the short line is for you. Had to road test the Comet. Got the last of this years jobs done yesterday. Put a new float on the gas gauge sender. Kind of nice to know how much fuel is onboard lol!

Started with the Victory .22, and got rid of another 100 of that crap Rem ammo. Then grabbed the new Star BM. For the function test I loaded 10 124g coated RN over 5g of that dusty jug AA#5. Two 5 shot mag dumps at the black dot. Powder is good, pretty much stole it in today's market lol! Then I grabbed some 10yr vintage reloads of 124g TC over 4/4.2g of HP38. 4g a little slower so hit a little higher. 4.2g shot pretty much to POA. It ran 100%, no bobbles! Can't remember the Taurus ever doing that. This unit has a Sweet trigger. I hope my .45's get this good when they get run in.
Obviously, I like it better than the Taurus. It also ticked another box by going with my Spanish Mauser. I know the Guardia Civil used these. Too bad they didn't put the Fasces crest on it. So, lets talk mags. I need a couple more, but JEEZ they're pricy. I see ProMag makes one but I've had nothing but crap luck with ProMag. Are they any good?

Edit: After a little research today, those 2 circles ahead of the frame/slide #'s are where the crest was scrubbed. Looks like they were spot faced with an end mill.
