If I'm going out fun shooting (poor desert) I load the to max. Home guns to max. M1 carbine one down just because, but there are two on the butt stock. One of ball and one of Hornady 'Who Hit John'. Since I'm the house 'shooter' I keep what I want available but unavailable to snoopy grandkids. If I need more than 70 rounds it will have been a bad day/night.

All my carry gun magazines are fully loaded and so are the ones for the ARs. Never had a problem and rotate them out at the shooting range to check they are functional - should there ever be a problem, it will get repaired/replaced.

I cycle mags every six months on the handguns, the AR and the FAL. Shottys stay stuffed.

I only use issue AR mags (updated with better anti-tilt followers) and the springs are never an issue. I've started to get some C-Products mags and have been happy with them in the past 3-4 years. Handgun mags are factory Glock or Chip McCormik and neither of them have issues on the six month rotation.

In God and Gaston Glock we trust, all others pay cash.

The is no problem in this world that cannot be solved by the correct application of enough high explosives.

I have used the mags I have enough to know which ones feed better with one or two less than a full load. I do keep a fully loaded 1911 with a couple of spares and an AR and AK
