The project is still very much alive... It just had to be pushed back a bit, but it's pretty much ready to go and awaiting some paint.

    Age doth take it's toll.

Well...My paint is arriving Tuesday, so work is starting again. I may have to do a little twist on this part of it. We'll see. More consideration required first.

I bought a nice used airbrush & little compressor for it off of fleabay. I'm seriously considering feathering a bit of candy red highlights around the edges...just enough to catch in the light for a bit of WTF was that.
If I were younger with more drive and stamina I'd of stripped it down completely going the whole nine yards, but that's moving into the realm of safe queens and such.

Okay. I started painting and got about six coats of clear on the side covers. Just ordered the candy apple red today to lay the highlights on the edges and corners. I figure this shall end up with close to thirty coats or so of clear...possibly more depending on when I get the desired depth to show.
My Paasche airbrush is a dream also. Here's a couple of screening pics to check out. The work on the tank shall perhaps start in a weeks or so depending on humidity, as with all of the remaining work.

That looks good! Have a question. Did you line the decals parallel to the side cover top? Reason I ask is I've seen decals on 750's like mine applied that way, and when mounted on the bike they run uphill because the top edge of the cover is not parallel to the ground.

I've an old polaroid of the bike and they run like the original....Along the top of the side covers is how they were. Damper adjustment may level the looks out some. If I recall correctly mine wouldn't take high speed curves for squat on the low setting without bucking like a bronco anyway.
