    CMP 1911 Info

Orders are now cut off. Looks like they have around 17,000 order packets in hand. IIRC this years release will be around 8,000 1911-A1s.

I sent an order packet in, so assuming it is correct, I guess my odds in a random drawing will be about even (50%) to get one. I want
a Service Grade pistol, so if they do get to me and all that is left is Field Grades I may decline the order. Choice will be on how you stand
on the drawing and what is left when (and if) they get to you.

Good luck! I am eagerly awaiting pics and your thoughts on it if you should receive one. I might try to get in on the next round if all is good.

    BS,

so is this a blind price & a blind purchase from them?

then if you dont like what they offer.. IF they pull your number, you can turn it down?

Yea, you don't have to take the offer. No credit card or acct info went in with order packets and if a person's name comes up they have to contact
    you to get that.

BTW anyone not drawn this year will be carried over to next years list.

Wow, if they keep doing that, there will eventually be like 80,000 people trying to get 8,000 1911's!

Depends, they if they have enough carry over orders they may not even take any more orders next year? They will be releasing 8-10 thousand a year until supply runs out.
I forget the total, but thinking it was around 80,000. BTW remember the cutoff on orders was 4 Oct this year.

I am pretty sure the total number released is 128,000... But I could be wrong.

On 5 Oct said it would take at least 30 days to process the packets and assign numbers to them. Looks like sometime in Nov the first lucky ones drawn will hear from them.
