same over here in SE Ohio.....

public land is a dangerous place to deer hunt.

here on our little farm & my neighbors farm? there are so many....... its not really hunting, your just picking which one you want. none of that up in the dark stuff or tree stand needed, just step out on the porch & pick one.

(of course there is that problem of my WIFE who says you cant shoot anything she has named & can ID.)

you want up to 6 deer. Restriction on does or having 6 or more points on bucks is history. No more deer check in, but still suppose to tag
them. Purchase hunting license now online and just print it out with 6 deer tags.
    What!!!?
I'm in zone 11 and I read check in is still required. I'm only allowed one doe, and two bucks out of my zone but may travel outside of it and harvest according to the other zone restrictions. Zone 11 bucks must have three or more points on one side of the antler. It's a little silly if you ask me.
I took one doe during the antlerless private land season.

I am in Zone 1 so guessing some rules different in other zones? What I meant by check-in is that you no longer have to go to check-in station, just call it in.

Congrats to him. Nothing better than getting kids into the outdoors.

Guy I let bow hunt weekends 7 year old daughter insisted she wanted to sit in stand with him and see the deer. She got her wish and bunch
of does and young bucks out. Dad shot a buck just before sundown. The little girl was cold after several hours in stand so brought her
down to my shop to get warm while dad looked for his buck.
