    WTB: Mosin Nagant Rifles

Winter is here. Need some restoration projects.

I want to buy Mosin Nagant Bubba'd rifles. No nice pieces need apply.

Main interest is Hex receivered MN as long as it has a serviceable receiver and bolt assembly.

    Might consider newer MN.

Please PM me with what you want to sell and we'll arrange the rest.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I received an email yesterday from someone going by the handle of Gta Ale.

He claims someone on a forum, I belong to 3, gave him my contact info.

May be on the up and up, might not. Simply wanted to mention it.

Had a fairly well butchered MN that he initially wanted $650 for. First drop was to $200.

I was not going to pay that for it but it struck me of a SCAM.

Of course, I have no intention of dealing with him.

Yeah, good call - that price drop is a huge red flag. Real seller might have dropped $50 at first.

I have a 1916 M91 that was reworked by the Finns but was never bubba'd. It has the original bluing (still in the white inside the receiver), a small old style Century import stamp up on the barrel and, I think, the original stock (you can still barely see the 1916 stock cartouche). None of the original stamps were obliterated by the Finns either, including the Imperial Eagle. The only detractor is a cracked, but still serviceable, handguard. Are you interested in something like that or are you only interested in ones that met bubba?

I am primarily interested is some thing Bubba really screwed up as long as the bolt and receiver are serviceable. I have a lot of parts, a few stocks and even a few serviceable barrels I have picked up along the way. I have several MN in my collection but I enjoy trying to resurrect the dead so to speak.
