    Owen Gun in post war Dutch East Indies Service

    I stumbled on this interesting photo of a mix of Allied weapons.

    Well armed Indonesian colonial troops on a sweep to root out guerrillas in 1948
    Note pair of Owens, some type of STEN, pair of of Thompson, Carbine and maybe M 1911 or P 35 pistol.
    Could be a Enfield No 4 in the rear
    I think they have either British or Australian P 37 web gear

    wow talk about a mixed pot of weapons/ammo!

    with that much of a mess, they sure werent planning on sharing/having common ammo.


    thats the old: shoot till your out & then if theres not a dead guy around who has ammo...... your the next dead guy.
