Just ordered 5 more steel mags. I only had two of them. Now waiting to see what I get.

Got my 5 steel mags in. 3 of them standard G3 Hk marked.

But 2 of them Rheinmetall. My first of that maker!

Three different floor plates out of the 5 that I received.

In order from left to right: Hk 4/62, RM 3/63, Hk 1/61

Interesting thread; never paid much attention to how far back the G3 mags went. So I dug through my stash, and came up with 7/61, 8/61, 9/61, and 12/61 as the oldest in my "good" box. Several 62 and 63 years. Dug through my rusty mag box, and came up with a couple of 10/61s, and two 5/60s. I might see about trying to mitigate the rust on those two and clean them up, though one was heavily used - lots of wear where it fits into the rifle. Some German got his use out of it. Those two have the vertical numbers on them as well.

How about the 30 rounders? Like the South African ones. I don't own a 30 rounder, but would like to know more about them. I know some were made by/for HK and there were some aftermarket ones.

    South African 30 rounder.

I found another box of them. They are new or near new.
Most of them were in the 90"s and some in the 80"s.
I am trying to get them all in the same place.

There were 30-rounders for the CETME B, compatible with the C (and maybe the G3) but were few in number and barely issued.
Thing is, if you go prone with a B, the bipod is shorter than the magazine, and wasn't discovered until they were made :-P
