Feinstein has introduced a assault weapons ban every year. It is DOA, not taken up in committee. Right Now with Republicans controlling the Senate committees
and "Mitch" controlling what come up for vote we are probably safe in Senate. Plus it takes 60 votes just to get a bill to the floor for a vote. Democrats would
be unlikely to get even all their own 47 members on board and just don't have the votes.

House is another thing. Democrats with their majority and radical left driving the agenda could probably pass a bill banning assault weapons. It would not be heard by the
Senate, but will raise tensions is the gun world.

I fear for 2020 though. The Democrats keep the House. Lot of Republican Senators up for reelection in 2020, we could loose the Senate, and Trump may not be reelected.
Things could get very dicey if that happens.
