Update: My hatch rate has not been very good (learning curve) and I seem to loose a few that hatched that keep falling on their backs and can not upright themselves. The good
news is I had and still have plenty of eggs to experiment with. At this late date I am still getting a few eggs. On the plus side those poults that made it pass 3 days of age are doing well.
I did this on the fly this year, including setting up pens, getting incubators, etc, so hopefully next spring things will be more organized and I have learned by some mistakes I made.

I should be set for next year keeping the hens and a couple of Jakes, plus the original 5 are doing great and will be in their prime next spring. I anticipate a few of this years Jakes
will in up in the smoker for Thanksgiving (LOL)

Not a good picture, but about a dozen young ones I have moved to outside cage.

Little update. I found hatching and raising baby turkeys is a fair amount different than chickens. My hatch rate was not what it should be and I lost some young ones chalk it
up to the learning curve I am going thru. The young ones that made it are doing well and grown a lot. I find it hard to believe I am still getting eggs in July way past breeding
    season.

BTW my two original Toms are now over a year old and getting their chest beards, pretty neat. They and the hens love fresh clover that I pull up and give them.

Some so so pictures of the young ones--

^^^^ indeed! this is neat to follow.

the herd of turkeys that come across my place get picked off by coyote & hunters pretty regularly. im gonna keep watching & learning from you on this.

you are gonna have a really great way to control ticks & bugs at your place!
