I am looking for a "front pin retainer clip" that attaches to the forearm of the rifle that a pin goes through to secure the magazine
I have already asked on the Johnson forum, there was a guy that used to make/sell them but because of health issues no longer does.
Numrich and Sarco does not sell them if fact they were never listed in "parts schematic" as they were part of the forearm. I can make the one I have work but would prefer to find another

If you have one to sell or know who may please let me know. I will make it worth your while with either $$$ or Garand parts or both
    Thanks

One think I like about those Johnsons is they are similar to Lever action winchesters and Shotguns, that you can top off the magazine with a round in the chamber.

A buddy of mine (my wife's cousin) had an original Johnson, and all accessories including bayonet. He built a compartmented wooden case to keep it all in. I haven't seen or heard about it in about 20 years, though, so I don't know if he still has it. Man, it was awesome.

That would be awesome to see if he still has it and see it again!

I will get me one of these some day. Maybe for a retirement present to myself! Lol
