    Photobucket problem

Guys, I've noticed that when some users post images with photobucket I get an incorrect link error. Do I have something mis-configured? This is what I get when I click the image links:

I had my videos and a few photos locked up by them with no notice some time ago. They originally had free hosting (back then) if you put up with advertisements. They demanded money to reopen videos for access.
Luckily I had most all my pictures saved in my computer (my pictures) and would post them from there, no photo bucket.

Yeah, I remember that fiasco, this is different. As an example I see the incorrect link on Concretus's for sale post as well as Combloc's Cetme posts. There are really recent posts, within the last few days.

OK, it's got something to do with either the way Firefox (66.03) parses links or the way the forums shorten URLs. If I click the link inside the post it gives me the incorrect image link. If I copy and paste that very same link it works fine.

Odd thing: If I click the link, click open link in new tab, or open link in new window it fails. If I click the link and open it in a private window it works. So I've cleared my cookies (figuring it was a tracking issue) and same result.

I'm a technoidiot so I cannot help you although I wish I could. All I can tell you is that I have been doing uploading to photobucket and posting the same way I always have. PB has been a real bear to use lately. I've been thinking of starting my own website and I can tell you that, if I do, I will not be using them. I'm a bit confused though. When you look at one of my posts, do you actually see the pictures in the post, or only links?

And we are running an old version of vbulletin too.

I'm seeing your pictures just fine but I do know photobucket has some issues. There was a link I downloaded some time back for a fix to correct the PB issues. Prior to that I was seeing the red x of death for pics. No idea what that link is....I think it was on NFA Talk board.
I just got a message from PB last week saying that I had too many pics saved. I was only allowed 6GB or some such nonsense and when I got to the site they were wanting me to subscribe. I'm not paying $5 a month for something that started out free then went to free with ads required and now is limiting me to 250 pictures or pay. After fiddling with the site for an hour I finally found that the free storage is still there but limited to 250 pics and no vids. I just deleted stuff I don't need and no more hate mail.....for now.

Google Photobucket link fix and I think you'll find the fix for firefox and the others.

If I click that link it opens a new tab to the bad link image on PB. If I right click on it and open in a new tab or window same thing. If I right clink and open in a new private window it works fine. The easiest solution is to use the http links, i.e. instead of the link you used this one works fine:
