FMP XG3S on Gunbroker has no date marking

There is an FMP XG3S on GB that is not marked with 3/89 or 5/89 date. Was this rifle imported before the Bush ordered review of these rifles and the decision to ban them?

I'm no expert by any means, but if memory serves me right it is pre ban. Others with more info will come along, but for bids right now what the heck???

Hmm, I don't think it's an FMP factory built rifle. There's a fellow that has a database of the importation of them and could tell ya over at the FAL Files, this has come up a few times there.

    I can tell you here!!!
The highest "5/89" that I have seen is 003129--- the lowest "no date" is 003134.

My Firearms Reference Data is for sale below, but I will continue to answer questions as they arise.

Thanks Tony. Am I correctly understanding you to say this is a post ban rifle?

Not to bring up an old thread, but where’d you see the 003134 gun Tony? I bought a XG3S the other weekend, and was doing some research and came across this thread.. looked down at my gun, and wouldn’t ya know, 003134! So you’ve seen it somewhere before! It had no date (obviously), an 11/88 date on top of the carrier, but a 7/93 date on the two bolt sections.

GunBroker (of course), and currently remains the lowest "no date" XG3S!!!
The dates for the bolt carrier/bolt head are par for the course--- do both have "FMP" before their dates?
