    My new project, Mauser HSc.

So, I "needed" a new project and this is it. It's a war time 4th variation Mauser HSc frame and small parts group. Got them off of GB from Legacy Collectibles. The frame has some pitting and light surface rust inside, but not bad. It's E/135 and E/N marked on the trigger guard. The small parts kit has all of the small parts to complete the frame except the trigger spring. I have a complete spring kit on the way from Wolff. The small parts kit also came with the numbers matching barrel. Surprisingly, it has a nice shiny bore. A few small pits at the muzzle end though. I now need to find a slide, magazine, and some grips. Finish on it will probably be parked when I am done. It has too much pitting to be blued and look decent.

I will post pics and progress as I go. It might take some time so bare with me.

Looks like a fun project! Is that .32 or .380?

Yes, it is fun already. I love searching down and finding the parts I need. Also like bringing back guns from the dead.

.32 ACP. All of the war time HSc's were .32 The post war ones made in 1968 to 1977 were mostly in .380 with some being .32 and a few in 9mm Ultra.

Parts test fitted, minus the trigger spring. Spring kit will be here on Monday.

Boy is that a fun thing for a machinist to do! I revived a Savage 1915 bare frame and slide, all rust and pits. It was quite a while ago. When I got all the parts and fit them, I sent it to a place in Florida to be hard chromed. They polished out the bad stuff and kept all the markings intact. It's not correct but it looks good and works.
I'm looking forward to updates on this project. You have a good start there.

Yes, this is fun. I love doing this kind of stuff as much as collecting and shooting.

I will for sure post updates as I work on it and find the needed parts.

Just got the Wolff spring service pack out of the mail box. One step closer.
