Some uplifting news for a change!

Chris Evans surprises 6-year-old who saved sister from dog attack, promises him ‘Captain America’ shield.

“ Bridger Walker, a brave 6-year-old boy from Wyoming, has gained social media notoriety after being praised by several celebrities for rescuing his sister from a dog attack.
On July 9, Bridger jumped into action when a 1-year-old old German shepherd mix charged toward his 4-year-old sister, a statement from the family obtained by CNN states. While shielding his sister he was brutally attacked by the dog.
Bridger subsequently underwent a two-hour surgery that required more than 90 stitches, according to his family. And when his father asked him why he jumped in between his sister and the dog, he is said to have told them, “if someone had to die, I thought it should be me,” according to the statement.”

His parents are raising him right! He did what a big brother is supposed to do and protected his younger sister. He’s going to be his little sister’s hero for the rest of their lives! Well done little brother, well done!

That's not a boy.... He's more of a man than most. I'm glad both survived.

    He's MY new hero.
We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. - John Adams, 2nd U.S. President -

Came here to say the same thing. The moment someone understands they have not only the ability, but indeed some responsibility, to endure pain and hardship to protect others, is the moment they become a man. This young man put himself between someone he loved, and by the look of his wound, an animal that was likely somewhere around twice his size. And let's be honest. She's a younger sister, so she probably gets on his nerves all the time and he *still* did it. When you're that age, that's *literally* a monster.
    Stone-cold badass.
