Holiday weekend I'm sure people are out enjoying it. All I did was surf today.

I didn't do much today. Worked on some revolvers and my gun room.

I've spent the 4 day weekend cleaning/oiling/tuning a pre 1920's German made Kienzle pendulum wall clock works and disassembling and rebuilding it's wood case. The clock appears to have been in a barn for long enough for wood boring beetles or termites (or both) to have put a hurt on some of the oak, lots of "worm" holes. The clock works is running great on the test stand and I just got the oak case stained. Every now and again I have to take a break from gun building.

I did buy a really nice Mossburg 46M (b) at a flea market this weekend too so it wasn't an entirely gun free weekend.

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. - John Adams, 2nd U.S. President -
