    My Cetme Modelo C build

Starting my Cetme build, thought I would try to document it here. I've 1. Never build a Cetme and 2. Never documented a build for others to see so please bear with me.

Got a standard kit from Sarco along with their 18" unfinished barrel. ($285.00 with shipping) Ordered a flat from HKParts.net. ($87.00 with shipping) Both arrived last week. Total cost in so far, $372.00.

I looked everything from Sarco over (after unburying the kit from a box of 85,000 packing peanuts) and other than the mismatched color of the wood it all looks serviceable.
On the other hand, the flat from HKParts came stuffed in a box 1 size too small but it came through unscathed.

I will be posting pictures later tonight.

Starting on the trigger pack modifications today. Figured I'd get that semi-auto only prior to bending my flat. (I don't look good in prison orange).

Okay, all the rough cuts are done... now to get everything smooth and pretty.

Cleaned up the cuts, not sure if the hammer needs to be smoother. Finished everything with 80 grit. I'll assume that should be much smoother on the hammer at least. Any thoughts from the experts?

Yeah...not gonna give up my day job. Admittedly, I haven't welded anything in 20+ years but that's still terrible. Nothing a little paint won't fix.

That's just fine. Keep going.... You'll know when something isn't smooth enough.
